Menorca has an extension of 702 kilometers square and 216 kilometers of coast. The maximum distance between two points is of 47 kilometers, between Ciutadella and Maó.

The coast of Sant Lluís, in the Eastern end of the island, is the first point of Spain where it leaves the sun. Geologically the island is divided in two symmetrical but very different halves: the north, with a coast rustic and unequal, of little vegetation and very rough, with numerous small barren islands and beaches of reddish or dark sand; and the south, formed by calcárea rock and that is flat, of smooth cliffs, precipices carved by the water and white sand coves surrounded by pines.

The Maxima elevation of the island is the mount Toro, of 357 meters. The climate of the island is typically Mediterranean, emphasizes by its smooth temperatures, whose average annual it is located between the 16 and 17 degrees Celsius.
