Peņiscola, to the north of the Valencian Community, is in a privileged point of the Spanish Mediterranean. The 79 km2 of extension of their municipality, 17 of which they run parallel to the coast, equitably distribute between the forest surfaces and the warm Mediterranean cultures, between which they do not lack naranjo, the olive tree and the almond tree.

The old city, crowned by which outside dwelled of Pope Benedicto XIII, a castle-strength of s. XIV, it occupies an imposing rock that raises 64 meters on the blue one of the sea; together with the continent by a cord of sand that time back was sweeping by the waves during the weathers, transforming to the city into an ephemeral island.

In contrast to the old helmet, are the new streets and avenues of the tourist zone. Warm waters in summer and autumn, distribute between extensive beaches of fine sand to the north of ciudadela and beautiful coves flanked by steep cliffs in the south.
